Infantry Units



  • 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment - The "Old Guard" is the oldest active duty infantry unit in the U.S. Army and the army's official ceremonial unit. Its ceremonial duties include military escort to the President of the United States and guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

  • 172d Infantry Brigade (Separate) - "Snow Hawk" Brigade. History, photos, news, mission statement, and unit pages.
  • 2nd Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment - Areas covered are mission statement, historical views of the regiment, battalion news and key leaders
  • 2nd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division (Mechanized) - Biographies of brigade staff and links to subordinate units or the "Spartan" brigade.
  • 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division (Mechanized) - Site contains a history of the brigade and a brigade directory. There is also a list of brigade units, links of interest and a guest book.
  • 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment - The "Tomahawk" Battalion site includes a history of the battalion and photos. Site also includes a page for newcomers that contains helpful information for soldiers and families. There are links to pages for each of the four companies in the battalion.
  • 1st Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment - A brief battalion history and list of campaigns.
  • 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment - Featured on this "Deuce Four" site are sections on the battalion units, family support and unit ministry.
  • 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment - The regiment is currently serving a tour as part of Multinational Forces and Observers (MFO) in the Saini Peninsula. The site contains news and photos from the Saini and a history of the unit dating from the Revolutionary War.
  • 1st Infantry Division - The "Big Red One" is the oldest continuously serving division in the U.S. Army. This site contains history, organization, and photos. There is also a public affairs section as well as a quality of life page.
  • 1-17th Infantry Battalion - Mission, lineage and honors, and contact information for key personnel.
  • 7th Infantry Division (Light) - The division was reactivated in June 1999 and is stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado. The site contains command biographies, division history, a map showing WW II actions, and a video taken on Leyte Island, Philippines. (Real Player required.)
  • 25th Infantry Division (Light) and US Army, Hawaii - Site contains information on the division as well as information and news about the garrison.
  • 24th Infantry Division (Mech) - Official site of the division headquarters at Ft. Reily Kansas. Includes a history of the "Victory" division, lineage and honors, a list of commanding generals and a statement of its mission.
  • 11th Infantry Regiment - The regiment provides training for officers and the Officers Candidate School. It also provides instructors and support for the Airborne, Pathfinder and Jumpmaster Schools of the U.S. Army.
  • 29th Infantry Regiment - The regiment is the infantry training regiment at Ft. Benning, GA. This site give the mission of the regiment and subordinate units. Site also has a brief history of the unit.
  • 10th Mountain Division - Includes a history of the division, current staff and links to subordinate units.
